You may have stumbled upon this blog before around four years ago. I have always admired this blog concept, but never put enough effort to put more value into it until now. Now, a post-graduate with lots of time on her hands, I'd like to welcome you to the newly re-vamped tea on sundays.
My previous blog, to a higher plane was created when my 20 year old self started writing about my study abroad adventures in Wales and South Korea. Since then, so much has changed, and what I realize what should remain from my old blogging days is the need to document. Which is why I created this one.
My previous blog, to a higher plane was created when my 20 year old self started writing about my study abroad adventures in Wales and South Korea. Since then, so much has changed, and what I realize what should remain from my old blogging days is the need to document. Which is why I created this one.
But what makes this one different than the rest? And why does this blog have the same username as practically all my social media accounts? Well guys, with this blog, I can finally explain why I came up with this phrase and tell you how much it reflects who I really am.
TEA ON SUNDAYS is a phrase I came up with on a Sunday night. I associated it with the unfriendly feeling of a Sunday evening. This unfriendly, unsettling feeling exists because while Sundays are a part of the weekend, it also makes everyone remember about the workweek ahead. I would spend my Sundays thinking about that rise and grind, and during my student days, I would try to finish all of my homework, which was always accompanied by several cups of tea. In general, I didn't like Sundays, but I relied on the fact that I was at my most contemplative and reflective, which were also days I remembered to always write.
So why stick to something I really didn't like anyway? I decided to embrace it. I wanted to think of Sundays differently. Heck, I was also born on a Sunday. There has to be something that makes me stop feeling this way, and while I figure that out (or may never) I want to share with you guys what I'm really thinking - from things that go on daily in my life, my passion in magazine media and working in magazine; post-grad life, tips and tricks, travels, music recommendations - anything that goes. I want to share my ideas with you all.
Now that I unlocked this with you all has left me to wonder - what things do you think of on a Sunday evening? I'll keep you guys updated!
yay! looking forward to reading more ^_^
